Dubai Internet City provides a Knowledge Economy Ecosystem that is designed to support the business development of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies. Dubai Internet City is located in Dubai - U.A.E. It was established in January 2000. It is 25 Kms away from Dubai International Airport. The total size of the zone is 4,000,000 sq. meters.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defense Minister launched Dubai Internet city, with the objective of providing an environment, infrastructure and attitude for ICT companies to operate globally, regionally and locally with significant competitive advantage.
It offers 100% foreign ownership. Company formation period is 10-20 days.
