New phone directories launched by Etisalat Contact Centre
Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) revealed its new look White and Yellow Pages directories, the definitive listings of individual and business phone numbers in the UAE.
The covers for the 2005 directories, now being printed, have been given a facelift following a design competition open to all Etisalat staff.
The Corporation’s Contact Centre, which manages publication of both directories, opened up the design to staff members and received more than 175 submissions, before the five eventual winners were chosen.
Mohamed Bamakhrama, General Manager for The Contact Centre, said: “There was a big response to the competition to design the covers. The standard was very high, which made it difficult to select the final winners. In the end we went for the designs we found most interesting.”
The competition confirms Etisalat’s commitment to involving all staff in its operations and utilizing the talents within the Corporation to meet its mission to offer customers the best services to the highest standards.
Bamakhrama said that in asking staff to design the covers, The Contact Centre had followed Etisalat’s policy of supporting and capitalizing on the strength of its human resources.
