UAE to maintain its economic status
DUBAI — The UAE will maintain its high profile position at the world financial, trade and banking circles through provision of high quality services and facilities.
"This will be provided within the framework of a high level of stability and security and confidence that will allow international investors do their business in a safe haven that is open up to the world, said Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and the UAE Minister of Finance and Industry during talks with Assad Jabre, acting executive president of International Financial Cooperation, the World Bank group’s finance arm.
Sheikh Hamdan hailed the agencies’ plans on Mena.
He also highlighted the vital role of the private sector in the development of the trade and investment sectors.
Sheikh Hamdan and his guest reviewed the World Bank's activities through the International Finance Corporation and results of the World Bank-IMF meetings hosted by the UAE in september 2003.
