Marine services firm launched by Bin Zayed Group
Bin Zayed Group announced the launch of Dumarine, a comprehensive marine services company that will bring together an expanded marine services portfolio and expertise of its predecessor, Duboats.
Dumarine will encompass six divisions — Duboats, Duyachts, Dubrokerage, Duservices, Dusail Trading and Ducharter - creating a comprehensive marine services entity for the expanding leisure boating and marine sector in the region. Dumarine will be located at the Dubai International Marine Centre at the newly developed Dubai Marina.
Speaking at a Press conference to announce the launch of Dumarine, Shaikh Khaled bin Zayed bin Saqr Al Nahayan, Chairman, Dumarine, said, "The luxury and leisure boating sector in the AGCC is prospected to grow exponentially over the next five years, driven by major marina expansions and the iconic waterfront projects being developed in the region. This has spurred the need for providing comprehensive services, which identifies and meets the specific requirements of the marine sector in the AGCC."
Recent studies have indicated that the marine and leisure boating industry in the AGCC countries is set to grow at an impressive rate. Over the next five years, countries led by the UAE will develop into a mature market for marine leisure industry, with a boat park that exceeds 30,000 crafts. Leisure fishing, diving and cruising will drive the sector in the AGCC, laying an over arching emphasis of the sector's development on the thriving tourism industry in the region. Further, the waterfront and marina related developments in the region are attracting high value homebuyers from all over the world, boosting the sector.
