'Start your own business in 2005,' Dubai Economic Development's seminar.
DED's 'Start your own business in 2005,' seminar generated extensive interest among UAE nationals with more than 270 nationals attending the seminar and workshops from across the country.
Khalid Al Kassim, deputy director-General, DED, said: "The growing importance of the small and medium enterprises and their significant contribution to the economic growth in the country has encouraged the Business Sector Development Division at the DED to offer more focused training programmes that are customised to meet the specialised needs of the local market."
He urged nationals to take advantage of the programmes offered by the DED and hone their business skills in order to establish their own businesses. The programme was attended by Sulaiman Hamid Al Mazroui, executive member, Al Tomooh Supreme Committee and representatives from UAE University. The DED and Al Tomooh financing programme from Emirates Bank hope to work closely to offer a comprehensive package of training and financing to national small business owners.
